The 2019 Southeastern Region Leadership Conference will be held in Charlotte, NC, March 29-31. All collegiate and alumni brothers are invited to join us in the Queen City for brotherhood, business, service, and entertainment.

The conference will include regional business meetings, workshops, oratorical contest and debate competition, leadership awards luncheon, step show, and nighttime parties. Since this is a Conclave year, brothers running for international positions will present their campaign agendas and take questions from brothers.

There will also be a Sigma Beta Club agenda, as well as activities for wives and special guests. Brothers, Sigma Betas, and wives/special guests can register now.

Scholarship Awards Luncheon

This luncheon, which will recognize our Regional Awards Winners and Scholarship Recipients, will be held on Saturday, March 30. Collegiate and Alumni Brothers will receive their luncheon ticket as a part of the registration cost. The luncheon will have open seating. Additional tickets will be available for purchase at the registration desk.

Workshops

Various workshops will be scheduled to help make you a better Sigma man, chapter leader, and community advocate. The workshop schedule will be posted soon.

Miss Southeastern Region Pageant

The Miss Southeastern Region Pageant will be held on Friday, March 29, at the Hilton Charlotte University Place Hotel. Contestants are tentatively scheduled to vie for the opportunity to become the next Miss Southeastern Region and represent our region at Conclave in July 2019 to become Miss Phi Beta Sigma. General ticket prices are $15 for anyone not registered for the conference and may be purchased at the Registration desk or at the door.

Southeastern Region-wide Step Show

The Region Wide Step Show will be held on Saturday, March 30, and Collegiate Brothers from across the region will participate in the step show. General ticket prices are $15 for anyone not registered for the conference and may be purchased at the Registration desk or at the door.

PLEASE NOTE: All step show participants must be registered for the conference. Sigma Beta Clubs will be afforded the opportunity to step during the step show, if requested.

1914 Club Reception

On Friday, March 29, after the Membership Intake Program Certification Training, all members of the 1914 Club will partake in a reception prior to the Miss Southeastern Region Pageant. It is the desire of the Regional Board that this reception will allow the brother’s additional time to socialize with brothers they have not seen and exchange ideas on how to make the 1914 Club more effective within our region. Diamond, Golden, and Silver Scroll Brothers

The Southeastern Region will add to its record of Diamond (75 years of service), Golden (50 years of service) and Silver (25 years of service) Brothers in the region. This Scroll will contain the name of Brothers who have reached these great milestones in their Sigma Career. Once a Brother’s name has been added to the scroll he cannot be recognized until he reaches the next milestone.

Oratorical-Debate Contest

Contestants of the Oratorical Contestant must be Collegiate Brothers. The winner will represent the Southeastern Region at Conclave in July 2019.

Omega Ceremony

On Saturday, March 30, we will commit all brothers that have transitioned to the Omega Chapter. Please submit all names by the March 1 deadline.
